What Ingredients Mean On Food Labels

Researching each ingredient and knowing what you are eating will benefit you in the long term. Below is the list of genetically modified foods that are mostly used in some foods.

Genetically Modified Crop List:

Corn

Corn is genetically modified in USA and is turned into oil and used in many foods

Soybeans

Similar to corn, soybeans are genetically modified and turned into an oil. Many foods like chips use soybean oil

Alfalfa

Alfalfa has been genetically modified to be resistant to herbicides.

Cotton

Cotton has been genetically modified to increase yields and become resistant to diseases. Cotton seeds are used to make oil and are present in foods like granola snacks, cereal and chips.

Canola AKA Rapeseeds

Canola has been genetically modified to be resistant to herbicides. Canola oil is widely used in cooking and in manufactured foods.
